With openDesk version 1.11, we maintain focus on the continuous improvement of system stability, security, and the optimization of collaborative work.
The update of Collabora to version 25.4.7 not only comes with several bug fixes and improvements such as the DOCX and PPTX compatibility, it also introduces the new Follow Me presentation mode, which allows users to synchronize slide presentations.
For better collaboration, with this update the new Reinstate function was introduced for Writer. It allows users to reject proposed insertions or changes, while preserving the change history in the document.
Additionally, the recently introduced markdown import/export feature has been improved.
The update of Docs, our joint project together with DINUM, to version 4.1 introduces several new features. Now, it is possible to export notes, in addition to PDF and DOCX, as ODT and HTML (.zip).
As a significant new feature, notes can now be commented on. This significantly improves collaborative work. Additionally, notes can be restored from the trash, and PDF files can be directly embedded in notes. Notes can now be linked together, and content can be arranged in multiple columns.
The update also fixes a moderate security vulnerability.
The update to Open-Xchange 8.44 offers improvements on UI and middleware for more stability, configuration and performance. Included are enhanced UI-options as well as improvements on accessibility, consistency and reliability.
Additionally, the update adds new configuration properties for secondary account management, calendar conflict checks, attendee lookups and reminder handling.
The update to OpenProject version 16.6.3, including changes from version 16.6.2, provides several bugfixes.
With the update to Nubus 1.16.0, all container images are now verified with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM). This improves security transparency by providing admins a clear overview of components and dependencies within each image and therefore about potential risks.
Additionally, the provided Vulnerability Exploitation eXchange (VEX) data allows users to understand and act on known vulnerabilities.
Also, this update provides several optimizations and security fixes - including upgrading the Keycloak component to version 26.4.6.
The Element upgrade fixes an issue with 1:1 calls not working properly due to missing Element Call configuration.
Helm: Improvements to Helm charts and Helmfile, including secure container defaults, enhanced templating, and additional Ingress/service annotations
Mail & Groupware: Expanded configuration options and stability improvements for Open-Xchange and Nextcloud, particularly for migration, limits, security, and Ingress handling
Collaboration & Scaling: Updated charts and new configuration options for Collabora, CryptPad, and Jitsi for better scaling, monitoring, and network configuration
Architecture: A new section about the mail flow in openDesk has been introduced showing a diagram of how the various components communicate with each other.
Security & Requirements: Update of the security documentation for Open-Xchange chart verification, as well as requirements to clarify the minimum requirements (Helm versions less than v4 is not supported)
Migration & Operations: Revised migration and monitoring documentation, including updates to the Collabora Controller lease and annotation verification
openDesk SaaS installations are automatically updated according to the SLA.
Self-hosted installations should refer to the notes on upgrades and migrations.

ZenDiSHundreds of developers work on the same code. Anyone can suggest changes. Bugs are discussed publicly. It sounds like chaos, so how can open source software possibly be more trustworthy than proprietary solutions?
