Exchange information in group or individual chats, send files and stay up to date with notifications. Based on the open Matrix communications standard, the Chat app was devised for GDPR-compliant, autonomous communication.

Contacts

The OX Contacts application lets you efficiently manage your contact data in personal and shared address books.

Seamlessly integrated into openDesk, this solution streamlines your organisational workflows. Synchronise entries with other applications, categorise contacts and utilise automatic updates. A central directory of your organisation helps simplify the management of internal contacts and their remit.

Integration with email and calendar enables direct communication right from within the address book.

Document management

Collabora Online powers openDesk with a robust office suite designed for efficient teamwork and secure document editing.

Create, edit and share documents, spreadsheets and presentations with full support for all major file formats. This versatile open-source solution enables seamless real-time collaboration without compromising on features.

All data stays secure and GDPR-compliant on your own servers. Processing takes place directly in the browser, and Collabora is supported by the world's largest team of certified LibreOffice developers.

Email

The OX App Suite from Open-Xchange offers a comprehensive email solution for efficient and productive communication in the public sector.

Identity & access management

Nubus by Univention integrates various applications through a unified identity and access management system. It supports both the creation and management of a standalone user directory, as well as integration with existing systems such as Keycloak or Active Directory.

This application is available to administrators. As an openDesk user, you will only see the individually configurable portal interface after logging in.

Notes

openDesk's Notes app allows users to capture and organise thoughts, tasks and information in a structured manner.

With its clean interface and support for text blocks, formatting and quotations, it's ideal for personal note-taking as well as collaborative preparation for meetings or projects. Notes are stored locally, versioned, and can be edited offline.

The app is purpose-built for use in public sector environments and offers a modern, privacy-conscious alternative to proprietary solutions.
