NewsopenDesk 1.16.2 - Closed security gaps
With openDesk 1.16.2, several security vulnerabilities in the chat component have been fixed. We always recommend upgrading to the latest version.
Chat
The openDesk 1.16.2 patch release updates the built‑in Matrix component (Element/Synapse) from version 1.12.6 to 1.12.8 (Synapse 1.157.2). This brings in all CVE fixes that are part of this Synapse release, which is especially important for installations with federation enabled. The update is compatible with existing openDesk setups and does not require any additional migration steps.
