NewsopenDesk 1.18.2 - Security Update
openDesk 1.18.2 fixes a security vulnerability in Nextcloud – we recommend updating as soon as possible.
Files
The update to Nextcloud Server 33.0.9 fixes an issue in access control when overwriting existing files.
Under certain conditions, files in publicly shared folders could be overwritten even by users without the required permissions. Furthermore, users with permission to create new files were able to overwrite existing files, even though they didn't have the necessary permissions to do so.
The access control has been corrected so that existing files can now only be overwritten with the appropriate permissions.
